Concrete is made up of the natural raw materials water, sand, gravel and small amounts of cement. For all these materials, ZAPF pays attention to regionality wherever possible. This means that, as far as possible, ZAPF obtains the required materials from sources or suppliers in the region surrounding the production sites. ZAPF’s four production plants are also regionally distributed throughout Germany, which in turn enables short delivery and transportation routes – even to neighboring countries.
ZAPF GmbH produces its prefabricated concrete garages at four of its own sites in Germany. Efficiency and the associated environmental focus are of the utmost importance there. For this reason, two of the four production plants were recently extensively modernized once again. The highly efficient plants produce in a particularly resource- and energy-saving manner. The modern production facilities also increasingly feature intelligent circulation systems. Production heat, for example, is also used to dry the garages – or residual cement is fed back into production so that no material is wasted.

Prefabricated concrete garages from ZAPF are characterized by their “slim”, material-saving construction. The reduced wall diameter of the garages saves valuable raw material resources and makes the ZAPF garage a real “lightweight” in comparison, which also saves energy during delivery and assembly. And all this without compromising on stability or durability – the clever design makes it possible!
As all four ZAPF GmbH production plants are located in Germany, the new prefabricated concrete garages do not have to travel long distances to the installation sites. To ensure that the transport itself is as climate-friendly as possible, ZAPF garages are only delivered using special trucks with an emissions standard of at least Euro 6. For some large-volume deliveries, ZAPF occasionally uses alternative means of transportation, e.g. by ship, if local conditions permit. Once at the site, the prefabricated garage can also be erected immediately. ZAPF has optimized this process to such an extent that garages can be assembled within a few hours.
To make the garage even “greener”, a green roof, for example, is a good option. This allows the built-up area of the garage to be largely “returned” to nature. The green roof of the garage becomes a biotope for microorganisms that are so important for our environment. In addition, the plants bind rainwater, reduce emissions and thus also contribute to climate protection.
