If a garage inspection reveals clear weak points, he recommends, it is worth playing it safe and renewing the roof coating.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The floor and the edge of the driveway are also exposed to high levels of stress: In addition to the regular load, grit and road salt residues as well as moisture are also applied in winter when the car is driven in. &#8220;Small cracks in the concrete can develop into major damage over time,&#8221; says Engelhardt. &#8220;In the early stages, cracks can still be repaired quickly and easily, thus avoiding more complex and cost-intensive repair work.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>More convenience with a modern garage door<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A close look at the door should also be part of the garage inspection. &#8220;Can the door be opened and closed without any problems? Is it free of corrosion? Are all the hinges and springs in good condition? &#8220;Only if garage owners can answer these questions with &#8216;yes&#8217; is the full functionality of the door guaranteed,&#8221; says Engelhardt. &#8220;If not, it makes sense to have a functional and safety check carried out by a specialist.&#8221; If the specialist advises extensive repairs or even a door replacement, this also offers garage owners an opportunity to significantly upgrade their garage in terms of parking comfort and appearance. Even retrofitting an electric door drive, which allows the door to be opened and closed automatically using a hand-held transmitter, enhances the parking experience. &#8220;The garage gets a completely new, modern look when you opt for a new sectional door,&#8221; says the ZAPF garage expert. And: &#8220;Thanks to the division into individual sections, it takes up significantly less space when opening and closing than an up-and-over door, for example. It also helps to maintain the value of the property.       <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the ventilation door from ZAPF GmbH, special for wide sectional doors, this benefit can be increased even further.
