In 1968, ZAPF launched the first monolithic prefabricated concrete garage on the market and had the production process patented. 50 years later, the long-established company has long since conquered Germany with its high-quality garages. From January 2019, the prefabricated garages will also be available in Austria directly from ZAPF.
High quality, modern design, functionality, a large selection and excellent service – this is what ZAPF GmbH’s prefabricated concrete garages stand for. The sales territory of the prefabricated garage manufacturer with its headquarters in Bayreuth in Upper Franconia and four production sites in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia currently covers southern, central and western Germany as well as parts of France and Switzerland. From the new year, the sales area will also be extended to Austria. Although the company has already delivered a few garages to the neighboring country, sales and service have so far been handled by an external dealer. “From the new year, we will have our own sales staff in all parts of the country. This will enable us to offer customers our full range of expertise, which includes not only the garages themselves but also expert advice, our TÜV-certified service and support from a site manager,” says Ralph Raggl, Head of Sales at ZAPF GmbH.
The garages destined for export are manufactured at the ZAPF plant in Baar-Ebenhausen, Upper Bavaria. In order to meet the increased demand, the company has invested several million euros in the expansion and modernization of the site in recent months.
From the CLOU to the e-garage
In Germany, ZAPF achieved greater prominence in the 1990s at the latest with the development of the oval “CLOU” design garage and has since continued to create new trends and innovations in the garage sector. The electric garage with an integrated electric charging station or the smart garage with the “ZAPF Connect” smart home system are very recent examples of this. “Even though ZAPF is ultimately about prefabricated garages, our customers do not receive a standard product,” explains Raggl. “Thanks to our wide range of models and the variety of equipment and color options, each garage can be individually tailored to the customer’s wishes.” Of course, the entire product range is also available for Austrian customers. In order to comply with the country-specific building standards, technical adjustments were only made in individual cases.
