There are various roof shapes for a house, one of which is the mono-pitch roof. Of course, the question always arises in connection with the different roof shapes: what are the differences and advantages? The advantages of a monopitch roof are many and varied. The biggest advantage is that you don’t lose any space due to the roof pitch, as is the case with a pitched roof, for example. Instead, a monopitch roof gives you a normal room height. This means that it can be used as a full storey. This also has a positive effect on the lighting conditions, as normal windows can be installed.

Lower costs with a monopitch roof

By producing a monopitch roof, you also have lower costs. This means less assembly work and less wood is required for production. Due to the lower assembly and production costs, you also save on the overall construction time. The advantages of a monopitch roof also apply to the design. A mono-pitch roof can be covered with different types of roof tiles, but also with slate or bitumen sheets.

Roof greening can visually enhance a house

The latter offers a further advantage: depending on the pitch of the monopitch roof, it can also be covered with a green roof. This can, of course, enhance the appearance of a house. Depending on the roof covering, you also have the advantage of saving money. Roofing with bitumen sheeting is not only quick to install but also inexpensive. When it comes to roof tiles, flat roof tiles and, to a limited extent, plain tiles are particularly suitable.

Depending on the roof pitch and the orientation of the roof, a monopitch roof can also be the ideal place for a solar installation. Due to the pitch, a high level of efficiency can be achieved with the system. This can, of course, pay off financially in the end.
