On Saturday, July 28, ZAPF GmbH celebrated a summer party at the garage plant in Weidenberg. The highlight was the inauguration of two new KTM garage transfer vehicles. The body of the special vehicles, including the loading crane, was developed in-house by the garage manufacturer.
ZAPF GmbH is a well-known manufacturer of prefabricated garages and an important employer in the region, known for its high quality and innovative strength. A large proportion of the traditional manufacturer’s prefabricated garages are produced at the garage factory in Weidenberg and sent on their way to their new owners from there. To ensure that this process runs even more smoothly in future, the plant recently acquired two brand new, specially built KTM transfer vehicles.
“KTM stands for crane, transport and assembly – because the vehicles can be used to lift and transport a prefabricated garage and place it on the foundations provided for it with centimeter precision during assembly,” says Managing Director Jörg Günther, who runs the company together with Emmanuel Thomas. The company developed the body and the chargers for the new vehicles itself, and manufactured and assembled them in its own metalworking shop in Weidenberg. “Custom-made vehicles have been a tradition at our company for many years and our systems are constantly being developed and improved to meet our needs,” adds Jörg Günther.
ZAPF GmbH used the summer party at the garage plant on Saturday as an opportunity to officially inaugurate the two trucks. In the presence of many employees and other guests, Weidenberg pastor Stefanie Lauterbach even gave the vehicles a Christian blessing. “With this act, we also want to show what value the KTM transfer vehicles have for us. Because they help to ensure that our prefabricated garages arrive safely and on time at the assembly site and can be erected even if production figures continue to rise,” says Managing Director Emmanuel Thomas.
