Clever lighting system sets stylish lighting accents and makes parking in the dark easier

Now in the fall and winter, when it gets dark early, garage lighting is particularly important. Exterior lights with motion detectors for the footpath to the garage are usually standard, but it can also happen that the dimensions of the garage are misjudged at night or at dusk when parking and the car is subsequently adorned with a scratch or even a dent. The garage experts at ZAPF GmbH are also aware of these annoying “mishaps”. For this reason, the garage manufacturer from Bayreuth in Upper Franconia has developed ZAPF Doorlight, a system that illuminates the entrance area of the garage and thus ensures greater safety when parking.

 

The light system is mounted behind the reveal above the garage door and has the same width as the entrance area. This improves visibility and makes a decisive contribution to preventing damage when driving into the garage. “In addition, ZAPF Doorlight is simply a great eye-catcher that underlines the design of the garage and thus further enhances the property,” says Jörg Günther, Managing Director of ZAPF GmbH. For those who value not only functionality but also appearance, ZAPF Doorlight can be left on for several hours at a time. The modern lamps are extremely energy-saving and consume hardly any electricity.

 

ZAPF Doorlight is available in combination with an electrically operated sectional door for almost all new garages and is controlled via the door’s hand-held transmitter. Retrofitting the LED light strip together with an electrically operated sectional door is usually also possible for existing garages as part of a garage renovation.

 

ZAPF Doorlight and premium sectional door for even more convenience and security

To ventilate the garage, the top section can be tilted inwards a few centimetres while the door at the bottom remains closed. If the garage is also equipped with ZAPF Connect, a smart home system for garages, not only can ZAPF Doorlight and the garage door be controlled via a cell phone app, but the ventilation can also be intelligently controlled: For example, if the humidity sensor reports excessive humidity to ZAPF Connect, the ventilation position is automatically adjusted.
