ZAPF GmbH relies on personal customer service despite the online configurator

New car, kitchen or garden – these days, everything can be planned in advance via an online configurator in the comfort of your own living room – including prefabricated concrete garages. In fact, professional garage manufacturers such as ZAPF GmbH make it as easy as possible for their customers to find out about the garage that “suits” them best. Putting together the garage of your dreams is child’s play with the online configurator. So why bother with a personal consultation?

“Even if it initially seems like buying a garage is the easiest thing in the world, a personal meeting is definitely necessary,” explains Ralph Raggl, Head of Sales at ZAPF. “Our garage experts discuss all aspects of the garage project with the customer and – very importantly – take a look at the construction site directly on site.” This means that any travel problems or additional costs (e.g. for a crane) can be factored in right from the start, says Raggl.

When preparing the quotation, it is possible to take into account exactly whether the installation has to be carried out with the ZAPF special vehicle or with the significantly more expensive mobile crane. This is an important point that the layman is usually unable to assess when configuring.

The configurator first manifests the customer’s wishes, but beyond that there are many points where a garage expert from ZAPF can give valuable tips in direct contact – which in most cases you don’t necessarily think about yourself when planning your garage on the computer at home.

  • For example, is a second car regularly parked in front of the garage and the garage door still needs to be opened regularly? Then you should definitely choose a sectional door, as this is unfortunately not possible with a simple, outward-opening standard up-and-over door.
  • Is the residential area isolated or poorly lit? Then it may be a good idea to order a garage with an electric door operator that can be started from the safety of your car using a hand-held transmitter.
  • To avoid ugly streaks on the side walls, it makes sense to equip the new garage with a so-called roof edge design right from the start – this cladding of the upper wall edge not only looks very good, it also prevents discoloration caused by dripping water on the outer wall.
  • Where should garden tools, bicycles or other sports equipment actually be stored? Perhaps an extension or a slightly longer garage with a separate door makes sense?

There are some details that you don’t initially think about when planning to buy a garage, but which can be clarified in a personal consultation. “Every customer has individual wishes. For us, taking these into account and implementing them in the best possible way is simply part of good service,” emphasizes Ralph Raggl.
