Garage modernisieren: Schutz vor extremen Wetterlagen
In den letzten Jahren haben sich die Wetterbedingungen tatsächlich sehr verändert. Immer wieder hat Deutschland mit Hitzewellen, Starkregen, Stürmen oder Hagelschlag zu kämpfen. Um besonders alte Garagen an diese Extremwetterbedingungen anzupassen, können einige Modernisierungsvorkehrungen getroffen werden.
Hitze und Feuchtigkeit: Das hilft!
Hohe Temperaturen und Extremniederschläge können das Innenraumklima in einer Garage unangenehm machen und unter bestimmten Umständen auf Dauer sogar die Substanz angreifen. Um zu verhindern, dass Wände durchfeuchten oder die Hitze in der Garage steht, gibt es zwei besonders hilfreiche Ausstattungsvarianten, die im Rahmen einer Modernisierung relativ einfach nachgerüstet werden können:
- Eco garage ventilator:
The garage ventilator ensures an optimum indoor climate in the garage without any electricity. Using pure wind power, the stainless steel construction with louvred hood regularly exchanges stale air for fresh air. - Premium sectional door:
In combination with the Premium sectional door, the garage climate can be optimized even further. In addition to the special comfort elements, the door offers the option of a special “ventilation position”. This means that the door remains burglar-proof closed and yet the interior of the garage is perfectly ventilated so that no moisture collects in the garage even in extreme temperatures.
Heavy rainfall: monopitch roof or clever rainwater management with green roofs For particularly durable and resistant roof renovations of flat-roof garages, retrofit monopitch roof solutions are increasingly being chosen nowadays. In contrast, retrofitting green roofs on garages as part of a renovation has the advantage – provided the roof load permits this, which is checked again before implementation – that heavy rainfall does not run off completely and abruptly, but is at least partially “absorbed” by the plants and the substrate. This significantly reduces the risk of flooding, as not all rainfall immediately runs off into the sewage system or drainage facilities. The plants also make a valuable contribution to our environment. They provide a habitat for microorganisms, reduce CO₂ and bind dust and pollutants.
