On Saturday, ZAPF GmbH opened its new garage sample park on the company premises in Nürnberger Straße. Around 250 guests took the opportunity to get an impression of what is possible with prefabricated garages today. Radio Mainwelle, with presenter Bernd Rasser, provided the appropriate supporting program.
ZAPF GmbH proved years ago that garages don’t have to be rectangular when it caused a stir with the oval “CLOU” design garage. And now the Bayreuth-based company sees itself at the forefront of development. “Our range is almost as diverse as people’s wishes for their private parking garage,” said Managing Director Jörg Günther when welcoming the guests. The fact that this is no exaggeration was demonstrated during the subsequent tour of the model car park, during which Michael Stöckigt, Head of Technology – Concrete at ZAPF, explained the equipment and technical details of the model garages to the visitors.
A total of four garage models can be seen in the show park: A wide-space garage with numerous extras such as ZAPF Connect, the smart home solution for garages, or the premium sectional door with ventilation function.
The CLOU 2.0, the successor model to the aforementioned design garage with a green roof and LED light in the interior. The double garage on display is particularly forward-looking: it is not only equipped with the “ZAPF column” but also with the SolarVenti® by ZAPF. This means that it has a charging station for electric vehicles on the one hand and a climate control system on the other, which ensures an optimum indoor climate in an environmentally friendly way and thus contributes to maintaining the value of the garage and the vehicle. But of course ZAPF also has standard garages. One of these is also on display in the show park.
Not only the Mayor of Bayreuth, Brigitte-Merk Erbe, and Dr. Bernd Sauer, Managing Director of the Chamber of Crafts for Upper Franconia, accepted the invitation to the inauguration of the model park, but also a large part of the ZAPF workforce and other guests from Bayreuth and the region. The official part of the event was followed by a convivial finale with Franconian barbecue specialties from the Parzen butcher’s shop and music with presenter Bernd Rasser. Visitors also had the opportunity to take another close look at the garages. “It was nice to see that the guests not only stood in front of the garages, but also explored our private parking garages with all their extras in detail,” said Managing Director Jörg Günther at the end, summing up the event with satisfaction.
Viewing and testing is still possible, as the model park is now open to the public free of charge from Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 20:00 and Saturday from 9:30 to 16:00.
