This year, ZAPF GmbH from Bayreuth launched an innovative e-garage with an integrated charging station for electric vehicles. This can not only be viewed in the new model park at the Bayreuth headquarters, but is also available for employees to “fill up” free of charge. ZAPF GmbH has also had an electric BMW i3 in its fleet since this month.
Employees who come to work with an electric car or e-bike can now charge their vehicles free of charge and conveniently during working hours in the model e-garage. The wallbox integrated into the garage has an output of 11 kW. This means that even vehicles with slightly more power can be recharged within a short time.
ZAPF GmbH also relies on the environmentally friendly electric drive for its latest company vehicle, a BMW i3. The 170 hp four-door vehicle has a range of up to 200 kilometers in city traffic and is mainly used by the workforce for errands between Bayreuth and the garage plant in Weidenberg. “With this campaign, we want to set an example in our own company of how easy it is to integrate electromobility into everyday life,” explain the two ZAPF Managing Directors Emmanuel Thomas (left) and Jörg Günther, who are big fans of the new e-car themselves.
By the way: If you would like to see the E-Garage for yourself, you can drop by the show park. The site is accessible free of charge from Monday to Friday from 6 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
