The lifting door, also known as a sectional door, is a very popular model at the moment. It consists of several horizontal elements that are connected to each other by hinges. As the name suggests, these sections are lifted vertically upwards when opened and guided along a track under the ceiling of the garage.

Advantages
The liftgate scores with its modern appearance. The visual effect varies depending on the number of horizontal sections. In addition, almost all colors are possible. But not only the appearance is variable. Sectional doors are available in very different sizes so that widths of up to 6 m can be achieved. As the individual sections are pulled vertically upwards, the door does not swing out forwards. Consequently, no distance needs to be maintained when opening, and the risk of injury is relatively low. The individual segments also mean that the door only needs a small swing radius on the inside.
Lifting doors are available with or without an electric motor and can be stopped and restarted at different degrees of opening.
Disadvantages
The installation of liftgates requires a little manual skill. If the rails are not fitted correctly, the sections can tilt and the door can no longer be operated. Installation should also be carried out by at least 2 people. Like many garage door models, the lifting door requires a certain garage height, as the door elements slide under the ceiling when opened. The running rails can be fitted both centrally and laterally.
