Possible causes
Mould metabolizes organic substances. Dust and dirt residues are just as much a part of this as floor coverings, wall coatings, wallpaper and plasterboard. Measures to remove the mold
The mold coating can first be removed superficially with a spatula and brush. A commercially available mold remover can then be used by spraying it several times on the affected areas, allowing it to act according to the instructions and then wiping everything off with a cloth. It is now important to ensure adequate ventilation and complete drying of the affected areas, for example with dehumidifiers or a warm air treatment.
Avoid new mold growth
To prevent mold from forming on the walls, it is now time to get to grips with the moisture. The first point to check is the ventilation slots installed on site. These are located in the garage door and usually at a higher point in the masonry or concrete parts of a prefabricated garage.
The next step is to check the existing drainage pipes, water pipes and heating systems. Cleanliness and hygiene should be a matter of course. Once all this has been done, mold growth on the walls will have stopped. In addition, regular ventilation by opening existing windows, gates or doors increases the likelihood of a permanently mold-free garage.
