Prefabricated garages are becoming increasingly popular. They are easy to order, generally quick to erect on site and can then be used immediately. They also offer your car good protection from all weather conditions (including storms!) as well as from two- and four-legged car raiders and – if all costs and expenses are considered – are also an inexpensive alternative to a brick garage. In addition, construction and installation do not have to be coordinated with countless tradesmen (as is the case with brick garages). On the one hand, a distinction is made between prefabricated garages according to whether they are delivered completely prefabricated (i.e., as a whole) to the installation site and erected there directly. On the other hand, prefabricated garages are also differentiated according to the material they are made of. Both of these make enormous differences, which you should definitely be aware of BEFORE you buy.
The vast majority of prefabricated garage manufacturers—including – including ZAPF – deliver pre-assembled garages to the installation site. There they are, then unloaded as a whole onto prepared foundations and erected – and can then, in principle, be used immediately. Other manufacturers deliver the prefabricated garage in parts instead, which then have to be assembled on site or gathered to form the finished garage. In addition, a fully functional garage arrives at the installation site immediately, and negative surprises due to improper assembly of individual garage parts on site can generally be ruled out.

Prefabricated garages are in fact made from very different materials. (Tip: Always ask about the material used before placing a final order – they don’t always play with “open cards”). Basically, there are prefabricated garages made of lightweight materials (such as sheet metal) on the one hand and solid prefabricated garages (such as those from ZAPF), which are generally made of reinforced concrete, on the other.
Prefabricated concrete garages in particular are considered to be extremely durable and long-lasting. This is because reinforced concrete is a particularly robust material and can withstand the effects of weather and mechanical loads extremely well. A prefabricated concrete garage from ZAPF is therefore an investment in the future, as the reinforced concrete body of such a garage will last for many, many decades… This is not always guaranteed with other materials! In addition, concrete consists mainly of regionally mined natural raw materials (such as gravel and sand) and to a lesser extent of special products made from natural raw materials (such as cement or steel), which is why prefabricated concrete garages also score particularly well from an ecological point of view.
… this is the decisive advantage of this type of prefabricated garage in a nutshell. Whereby the one advantage definitely determines the other. Because if a product (such as a prefabricated concrete garage) can be used for an above-average period of time compared to other product variants, this is not only economical – it is also good for the environment. After all, this protects valuable natural resources, reduces transportation routes and thus reduces energy consumption as well as raw materials and the CO2 footprint!
